Callie Carew-Miller

Callie Carew-Miller recently moved to Northern New Mexico after years teaching English in Prague, Czechia; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Sheffield, Massachusetts. Callie has been lucky enough to travel widely from each of these locations, but a constant through each travel leg and transition has been her use of writing to capture and make sense of each unique place. Her own writing describes landscapes ranging from the far north of Iceland to the Moroccan Sahara desert to the light on the Adriatic Sea, and in her work as a teacher of writing and literature, she has encouraged her students to capture the world around them in their own words. Callie earned an MA in the Teaching of English from Columbia University’s Teachers College and teaches 10th and 12th grade English at Santa Fe Prep. She loves going into natural spaces to read and write, and looks forward to sharing this experience with all who visit.
