Rebecca Sam has been teaching science to all ages for 25 years. After being trained in biology education, she decided to wander the rainforests of Madagascar in search of elusive insects as she achieved her doctorate in entomology, ecology, and evolutionary biology. She has a very patient family who willingly stops whenever she sees something from the car window and waits as she wanders through ditches, volcanic rock fields, or even climbs up waterfalls to see might be under the water. She visited Santa Fe for the first time in 2015 and declared that she would live there someday. Her dream was realized when she joined Santa Fe Prep in 2022 and teaches both middle school and upper school science. Her teaching goal is to prepare students for the world that they will enter into as they graduate upper school.
