David Páez

David received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of New Mexico, where he also received the best teacher award. His research addresses the semantic foundations of grammar and phonology in daily conversations. As an educator, he specializes in narrative and gamified approaches for Second Language Acquisition, promotes linguistic diversity, and focuses on dismantling myths and linguistic biases in education. At Santa Fe Prep, David currently teaches upper level Spanish (3, 4 and 5 Honors). He enjoys long hikes, engaging in a wide range of discussions, from philosophy to pop culture, and spending time with Ícaro, his border collie best friend.
